Cluses is a French city (2017 Balance at January 1) with 17,059 inhabitants in the department of Haute-Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes , halfway between Geneva and Chamonix area.
The city is widely known for its turned parts industry, more than 200 factories are located here.
The Cluses train station on the La Roche-sur-Foron-Saint-Gervais railway line is served by the TGV Paris - Saint-Gervais-les-Bains , among others . The most important road connection is the A40 motorway (Geneva-Chamonix), which goes to Mont Blanc tunnel leads.
