Crowley County [ ˈkɹaʊli ] is an administrative unit ( county ) in the central to southeastern part of the US state Colorado . The county seat is Ordway .
geography
Crowley is in the Eastern Plains - east of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in a poorly populated region in the Arkansas Basin . While the northern part of the administrative district is an almost uninhabited mountainous landscape, four smaller cities emerged in the southern part along the US state highway 96 from Pueblo to Kansas , of which only Ordway has more than 1000 inhabitants.
The Couty is located north of Arkansas in the Plains . It was created in 1911 from the northern part of what is now neighboring Otero and is also enclosed by Pueblo in the west, Lincoln in the north and Kiowa in the east. Due to the evenly rectangular borderline, the El Paso district also connects to the northwest , without there being a common borderline with it.
