Denis Reul (born June 29, 1989 in Marktredwitz ) is a German ice hockey player who has been playing for Adler Mannheim in the German Ice Hockey League since 2009 .
Career
Denis Reul began his career in 2004 with Jungadler Mannheim in the German Junior League . In three years he and his team won two championships. In the 2006/07 season , the defender also played 16 games for the Heilbronner Falken in the league . The Lewiston MAINEiacs then selected him as 15th in the 2007 CHL Import Draft . In the 2007 NHL Entry Draft , the Boston Bruins secured the rights to Reul in the fifth round in 130th place.
For the 2007/08 season he first moved to the Junior League Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the MAINEiacs. In the closing stages of the 2008/09 season Reul made his professional debut for the Providence Bruins , the farm team of the Boston Bruins, in the American Hockey League . For the 2009/10 season the right-handed player returned to Mannheim, where he was given a sponsorship license and is therefore again eligible to play for the Heilbronner Falken in the 2nd Bundesliga .
In the 2014/15 season he reached first place in the table with the Eagles after the regular season and won the German Championship in the subsequent playoffs , which he was able to repeat in the 2018/19 season after the Adler were able to finish the main round as first in the table. He himself contributed 6 scorer points (1 goal) in 14 playoff games in the 2019 championship and had the best plus / minus balance of all players with +13 .
International
Reul took part with the German U18 selection in the 2006 and 2007 world championships in the top division. With the German U20 he took part in the 2009 Junior World Championship, also in the top division.
In the 2009/10 season Reul made his debut in the German national team , with which he took part in the 2011 , 2012 , 2014 , 2016 and 2017 World Championships.
