Nicolas Krämmer (born October 23, 1992 in Landshut ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with Adler Mannheim in the DEL since April 2018 . He is the nephew of the German ice hockey player Gerd Truntschka .
Career
Nicolas Krämmer began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the junior division of the EV Landshut , for whose U18 junior team he was active in the German junior league from 2007 to 2010 . For the professional team of the Landshut Cannibals he made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2009/10 season . In this he prepared two goals in a total of 13 games in his rookie year . For the 2010/11 season he is eligible to play for Landshut in the 2nd Bundesliga and, with a sponsorship license , for the ERC Ingolstadt in the German Ice Hockey League .
In April 2011 he received a contract with the Hamburg Freezers , but then decided to work with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan from the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec , his three-year contract in Hamburg remained unaffected. After the U20 World Cup in 2012 , the striker decided not to return to North America. Instead he ran for his home club, the Landshut Cannibals, for the remainder of the 2011/12 season and won the championship in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey. From the 2012/13 season he was an integral part of the Freezers' squad and extended his contract with the Hanseatic League until 2018. In October 2015, Krämmer managed the first hat trick of his professional career in a 5-4 win against EHC Red Bull Munich .
In May 2016, the Freezers announced that they would not be submitting a license application for the 2016/17 DEL season, which meant that all of Hamburg's players were without a club. At the beginning of June 2016, Krämmer was signed by the Kölner Haien . After moving to Adler Mannheim, he won the German championship with his team in 2019 .
International
For Germany , Krämmer took part in the 2010 U18 Junior World Championship , where he and his team were promoted to the top division. He himself contributed to this success with four goals and three assists in five games. In February 2015, the left-shooter made his debut for the senior national team and was then on the squad for the 2015 World Cup , where he was used in five games and scored two points. At the 2018 World Cup , the striker was back in the squad.
