Euro Hockey Challenge 2016
The Euro Hockey Challenge 2016 was the sixth edition of the competition of the same name organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF . The competition started on April 6, 2016 and ended on April 30, 2016. The Euro Hockey Challenge games served as preparation for the World Cup in Russia in 2016 for the national teams .
Attendees
The twelve best European teams in the IIHF world rankings participating in the World Cup in Russia were eligible to participate.
For the 2016 edition these were: Russia , Sweden , Finland , Czech Republic , Switzerland , Slovakia , Belarus , Latvia , Norway , France , Germany , Denmark
mode
The game was played in a three-point system, that is, each team received three points for a win, two points for an overtime win and one point for a defeat after extra time.
Each team played eight games during the tournament. As a rule, two games were played between two teams within two or three days in one country. All games were recorded in a table.
