The Schleswig-Holstein Association League was played for the 47th time in the 1993/94 season and formed the substructure of the third-class Oberliga Nord. The first two teams were allowed to take part in the promotion round to the newly founded Regionalliga Nord, while the team qualified up to eighth place for the newly created Oberliga Hamburg-Schleswig-Holstein. The teams in the last two places had to relegate to the national league.

Compared to the 1992/93 season , the composition of the league changed as follows: VfB Lübeck was promoted to the Oberliga Nord, while no team from Schleswig-Holstein was relegated from the Oberliga Nord. The three relegated members had left the association league and were promoted by the four promoted Holstein Kiel II ( promotion after 24 years), TSB Flensburg ( promotion after two years), 1.FC Phönix Lübeck (promotion after four years) and SV Eintracht Segeberg (promotion after one season).

Season course
The championship was won by Holstein Kiel's second team. Since she was not entitled to move up to the Regionalliga Nord, Heider SV and SV Sereetz, the second and third placed, took part in the promotion round. Both missed qualifying in third and fourth respectively. The three teams mentioned qualified together with TSV Pansdorf, 1. FC Phönix Lübeck, Itzehoer SV, TSB Flensburg and Flensburg 08 for the new Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein Oberliga. The SV Eintracht Segeberg had to relegate after one season from the association league, the SV Friedrichsort after three seasons.
