The Schleswig-Holstein Association League was held for the 58th time in the 2004/05 season and formed the substructure of the fourth-class Oberliga Nord. The first placed rose directly at the end of the season. The teams in the last four places had to relegate to the district league.

Compared to the 2003/04 season , the composition of the league changed as follows: By merging the Oberliga Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein with the Oberliga Niedersachsen / Bremen to form the Oberliga Nord, Heider SV , Flensburg 08 , TSV Kropp and Husumer SV were out the Oberliga Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein relegated, while the amateur team of VfB Lübeck was promoted to the Oberliga Nord. The four relegated members had left the association league and were replaced by the three promoted TSV Plön ( promotion after seven years), FC Sörup-Sterup (for the first time in the highest amateur league in Schleswig-Holstein) and BSC Brunsbüttel (promotion after one season).

Season course
The championship secured the Itzehoer SV, which, however, renounced promotion to the Oberliga Nord. But the second-placed TSV Kropp moved up. The last four teams were relegated from the association league: TSV Bordesholm two seasons, PSV Union Neumünster after four years and BSC Brunsbüttel and FC Sörup-Sterup after one season. VfR Neumünster withdrew its team at the end of the season.
