The Schleswig-Holstein Association League was held for the 59th time in the 2005/06 season and formed the substructure of the fourth-class Oberliga Nord. The first placed rose directly at the end of the season. The teams in the last four places had to relegate to the district league.

Compared to the 2004/05 season , the composition of the league changed as follows: TSV Kropp was in the Oberliga Nord, while the second team of VfB Lübeck was relegated from the Oberliga Nord. The five relegated members had left the association league and were replaced by the four promoted TuRa Meldorf , SV Todesfelde (both in the highest amateur league in Schleswig-Holstein for the first time), TSB Flensburg ( promotion after one season) and SC Comet Kiel (promotion after five years). The league played in 2005/06 with only 17 teams.

Season course

The championship and promotion to the Oberliga Nord secured the SV Henstedt-Rhen. The last four teams had to be relegated from the association league: Itzehoer SV 16 years after its promotion, TSV Plön after two seasons, NTSV Strand 08 after eight years and TSB Flensburg after one season.
