Giorgio Bassi (born January 20, 1934 in Milan ) is a former Italian racing driver .
Career
Giorgio Bassi only took part in one race for the automobile world championship . On September 16, 1965, he started from 22nd place in the Italian Grand Prix in Monza . His BRM P57 , registered by the Scuderia Centro Sud , had an engine failure on the ninth lap.
Bassi primarily drove a Tomaso Ford in the Italian Formula 3 championship . It is worth mentioning a third place in the race in Monza in 1964. Bassi was able to achieve another result in an international race: In 1965, with his team partner Giorgio Pianta , he was seventeenth in the overall classification of the Targa Florio on an ASA 1000 , and won the class up to 1000 cm³ .
