Giuseppe Mazzuoli
Giuseppe Mazzuoli (born January 5, 1644 in Volterra , † March 7, 1725 in Rome ) was an Italian sculptor.
biography
As a student of his brother Giovanni Antonio, he later finished his education in Rome, where he also worked with M. Caffà and created Caritas for the tomb of Pope Alexander VII . Among the most important interpreters of the Baroque in Siena, he showed in the later works a more pronounced notable inclination towards neoclassicism , which was in part taken up by his nephew Bartolomeo, son of Giovanni Antonio.
