The Hessenpokal 2018/19 is the 74th edition of the men's soccer cup competition. The tournament began on July 15, 2018. The final between KSV Baunatal and SV Wehen Wiesbaden was originally supposed to take place on May 25, 2019 in the Parkstadion Baunatal . Since SV Wehen Wiesbaden qualified for the promotion relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga, the final was postponed to June 25th. There the SVWW won 8-1 against Baunatal and won the trophy for the sixth time.

The cup winner receives the right to start the 2019/20 DFB Cup . Since SV Wehen Wiesbaden is already third in the 3rd league for the DFB-Pokal , the lower finalist KSV Baunatal is automatically qualified for the DFB-Pokal.

No two teams from a club or a corporation are allowed to participate in the games for the DFB club cup.

For the round of 16, SV Wehen Wiesbaden ( 3rd division ), FSV Frankfurt ( Regionalliga Südwest ), Kickers Offenbach (Regionalliga Südwest), KSV Hessen Kassel (Regionalliga Südwest), TSV Steinbach Haiger ( defending champion ; Regionalliga Südwest ), the TSV Stadtallendorf (Regionalliga Südwest), the SC Hessen Dreieich ( promoted to the Regionalliga Südwest ) and the SG Waldsolms (Group League Gießen / Marburg) as the winner of the fair play rating of the association game classes.

The Baunatal Park Stadium was planned as the original venue . Organizational problems, which made it impossible to hold the game on the date mentioned, led to the relocation to Wetzlar.
