IAAF World Combined Events Challenge

The IAAF World Combined Events Challenge is an international competition series that has been organized by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) since 1998 .

Men compete in decathlon , women in heptathlon . In the course of a season, the athletes collect their points at certain all-around meetings and championships and contribute their three best individual results to the overall ranking. Prize money totaling US $ 202,000 will be distributed among the eight most successful men and women . The overall winner and the overall winner will each receive $ 30,000. The most successful participants with four first places each are the Czech Roman Šebrle and the Swede Carolina Klüft .
