Josef Hesoun
Josef "Jolly" Hesoun (born April 12, 1930 in Vösendorf ; † August 28, 2003 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and Federal Minister for Labor and Social Affairs.
Life
Josef Hesoun learned to be a car mechanic . First he worked at the Wienerberger company . He was involved in the trade union and the Chamber of Labor . In 1974 he became President of the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees for Lower Austria and held this position until 1991. From 1979 to 1990 he was a member of the National Council . In 1987 he became Vice President of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions (ÖGB) . From 1990 to 1995 he was Federal Minister for Labor and Social Affairs.
As the most negative experience of his career, he described the accusation of the SPÖ member of the National Council, Waltraud Schütz , that Hesoun had reached into her back . Hesoun denied the allegations, which led to widespread media coverage at the time.

- 1994: Great Golden Decoration on Ribbon for Services to the Republic of Austria
