La Unión is a municipality ( municipio ) in the Department of Antioquia in Colombia .

geography

La Unión is located in the sub-region Oriente Antioqueño in Antioquia at an altitude of 2500  m above sea level. NN 57 km from Medellín and has an average annual temperature of 13 ° C. The municipality has an area of ​​198 km² and borders in the north on La Ceja and El Carmen de Viboral , in the east on El Carmen del Viboral, in the south on Sonsón and Abejorral and in the west on La Ceja.
