The men's pole vault at the 2012 European Athletics Championships was held on June 30 and July 1, 2012 in the Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital Helsinki .

In this competition, the German pole vaulters won two medals, silver and bronze. European champion was the French defending champion, world champion in 2009 and World Cup third in 2011, Renaud Lavillenie . Björn Otto took second place . Third was Raphael Holzdeppe .

qualification

June 30, 2012, 1:15 p.m.

28 participants competed in two groups for the qualification round. The qualification height for the direct entry into the final was 5.60 m. Nobody went to this height after it was clear that 5.55 m would be enough for the final. In order to be in the final, 5.30 m had to be taken in the first jump without a previous failure. Thirteen pole vaulters qualified for the final (highlighted in light green).
