Liga MX 2018/19

The 2018/19 season of the Mexican soccer league MX started on Friday, July 20, 2018 with the match between the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz and the UNAM Pumas , which the guest from the capital won 2-0. The goals for the Pumas were scored by Felipe Mora and Pablo Barrera .

Moved up and down

The Lobos de la BUAP, who were relegated to sport at the end of the preseason , were allowed to keep the class after paying a fee of 6 million US dollars because the second division champion of the previous season , Cafetaleros de Tapachula, as an uncertified team, achieved promotion to the top division in sporting terms was not allowed to perceive. For the fourth time (after 1971/72, 1988/89 and the Clausura 2013) there was a Clásico Joven in the final . Cruz Azul could only prevail in the first comparison in 1972. In the other three confrontations, the Club America always had the upper hand.

Quarter finals

The UANL Tigres and the CF Monterrey prevail due to the better place in the table in the league round. In addition, there will be a new edition of the final of the Apertura 2018 in the quarter-finals and again the Club America prevailed in this Clásico Joven .
