In the Spessart , in the Kahlgrund and on the Main , almost every place has a nickname , Utz - Uzname, nickname, Ortsneckname . It can usually be traced back to a typical local activity, for which there is also a special expression in the dialect .

purpose

Ortneck names are not inventions of their own, but were basically "attached" to you by envious, nasty neighbors . They were used earlier to characterize the residents and especially to mock the young men. Most often, certain actions are named, which are usually "offensive" or "nonsensical".
