List of countries according to the proportion of women in the state parliament
This list of countries according to the proportion of women in the state parliament shows the proportion of female seats in the state parliament of 193 countries around the world. This indicator is part of the annual " Report on Human Development " (Human Development Report) of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), last published in November 2019. The proportion of women seats in Parliament belongs to the " participation " (empowerment) of the Index of gender Inequality (GII: Gender Inequality Index ), the data come from the Interparliamentary Union (IPU).
The following short list compares the three DA-CH countries with the 2018 leading Rwanda and the world average (ø) as well as the individual results of the Global Gender Gap Index 2020 from the World Economic Forum (data status: October 2019):
