Manuel Badenes Calduch (born November 30, 1928 in Castellón de la Plana , † November 26, 2007 ibid) was a Spanish football player .

Career

Badenes began his career in 1946 at the age of 18 with CD Castellón . In the 1946/47 season he played a total of ten games in the Primera División and scored four goals. Despite the relegation of his team, the youngster was therefore highly sought after at the end of the season.

Before the 1947/48 season, Badenes moved to Catalonia for FC Barcelona . With Barça he won the Spanish championship in 1948 and 1949, but his share in these successes was small with only 14 appearances. In 1949 he agreed on a loan deal with the club and from then on played for Real Saragossa in the Segunda División .

For the 1950/51 season Badenes signed a contract with Valencia CF to take on the legacy of Mundo , the most successful goalscorer in the club's history. The Spaniard thanked for the trust with goals. In his first season he scored 20 goals. In 1954 he won the Copa del Rey with Valencia . When he left the club in 1956, he had scored 103 goals in 111 competitive games.

Then Badenes played for Real Valladolid . Here, too, he was immediately accurate with 16 goals. In the season 1957/58 he was even with 19 goals - in addition to Alfredo Di Stéfano and Ricardo Alós - scorer . Nonetheless, Valladolid rose through disastrous defense performance in the same year. Badenes then moved to Sporting Gijón .

In 1960 he returned to CD Castellón . He ended his career in 1962 with UD Oliva .
