Prudencio Sánchez Hernández ( December 1, 1916 - February 25, 1998 ), also known as Pruden , was a Spanish football player .

Career

Pruden began his career at UD Salamanca in 1934 . After the Spanish Civil War , he moved to Atlético Aviación in the Primera División for the 1940/41 season . Here he was the top scorer with 30 goals straight away and won the Spanish championship with his team.

Despite these successes, the club management of Atlético Aviación decided not to renew Pruden's contract. The reason for this was a fibula fracture, which put the continuation of his career in question. The Spaniard then ran again for UD Salamanca in the Segunda División and continued his medical studies at the University of Salamanca .

In 1943 Pruden was signed by Real Madrid . With the Whites , he won the Copa del Rey in 1946 and 1947 . What is particularly memorable, however, is the second leg in the 1943 cup semi-final against FC Barcelona , which Los Blancos won 11-1 after a 3-0 defeat in the first leg. Pruden alone scored four goals in this game.

In 1948 Pruden moved to Real Saragossa in the Tercera División . He then ended his career at AD Plus Ultra .
