Mariano Martín Alonso (born October 20, 1919 in Dueñas , Castile-León , Spain , † September 19, 1998 in Barcelona ) was a Spanish football player .

He was one of the best strikers in FC Barcelona history , for whom he played from 1940 to 1948. During this time he scored more than one goal per game, a total of 188 goals in 167 games. With 124 competitive goals he is the fifth most successful scorer of all time at Barça and in the 1942/43 season with 30 goals in 23 games also the first Barcelona player to become the top scorer in the Primera División .

His very impulsive demeanor in front of the goal resulted in a serious knee injury in February 1944, from which he was able to recover but never regained his pre-injury shape. At the end of his professional career he played with Gimnàstic de Tarragona from 1948 to 1950 and with UE Sant Andreu from 1950 to 1951 .
