The Copa del Generalísimo 1954 was the 50th edition of the Spanish soccer cup competition , which takes place today under the name Copa del Rey .
The competition started on May 2nd and ended with the final on June 20, 1954 in the Nuevo Estadio Chamartín in Madrid . The defending champion of the cup competition was CF Barcelona . Valencia FC won the title with a 3-0 win in the final against CF Barcelona .
