The 1917 Copa del Rey was the 15th edition of the Spanish Football Cup.

The competition started on March 11th and ended with the final replay on May 15, 1917 at Camp del Carrer Indústria in Barcelona . The defending champion of the cup competition was Athletic Bilbao . Madrid FC won the title with a 2-1 win after extra time in the second final against Arenas Club . For the Madrilenians it was the fifth title and the first cup win since 1908 .

After the score was 1: 1 after 90 minutes, both teams agreed on a 20-minute extension, which also did not produce a winner. A further extension of the playing time by 20 minutes was finally agreed on the condition that the next goal decides the game. Ricardo Álvarez scored three minutes after the restart.
