The Copa del Rey 1907 was the fifth edition of the Spanish soccer cup competition.
In addition to organizer and defending champion Madrid FC, four other teams took part in the tournament. The city of Bilbao was not represented by the two-time cup winners Athletic , but by the municipal team Club Vizcaya with players from Athletic Bilbao, Bilbao FC and Unión Atlética Vizcaína. The other participants were Vigo FC with some players from Vigo Excelsior FC, the team from the Irish college in Salamanca Hamilton FC and Recreativo Huelva . The Catalan master X Sporting Club was also invited, but declined again on the basis of internal and economic problems.
The competition took place from March 24th to March 30th, 1907. For the third time in a row, Madrid FC secured the title with a win in the final decider against Club Vizcaya .
Final group stage
The tournament was played in league mode, the games took place in the Estadio del Hipódromo in Madrid .
There was a curiosity in the last group match between Madrid FC and Recreativo Huelva. Not only did the Madrilenians have to loan the weakened Andalusians two players, but also because of the Huelva goalkeeper Juan Manuel Fernández Balbuena, who started a solo from his own penalty area, dribbled around all opposing players and finally scored a goal Game to a little highlight.

Club Vizcaya and Madrid FC both ended the group stage tied, although Vizcaya's better goal difference was not decisive for the title.
Final playoff
As Madrid FC and Club Vizcaya ended the group stage with the same number of points, both clubs had to contest a playoff for the title, with a re-run of the group game between Madrid and Vizcaya, which Vizcaya had won 3-2.

By beating Club Vizcaya, Madrid FC defended their title and won the Spanish Cup for the third time in a row. As a result, the trophy also passed into the possession of Madrid FC. In addition, the club became the sole record winner ahead of Athletic Bilbao.
