The Copa del Generalísimo 1969 was the 65th edition of the Spanish soccer cup competition , which takes place today under the name Copa del Rey .

The competition started on May 3rd and ended with the final on June 15th, 1969 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid . The defending champion of the cup competition was CF Barcelona . Atlético Bilbao won the title by beating Elche CF 1-0 in the final . This qualified the Basques for the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1969/70 .
