Copa del Generalísimo 1964/65

The Copa del Generalísimo 1965/66 was the 62nd edition of the Spanish soccer cup competition , which takes place today under the name Copa del Rey .

The competition started on October 24, 1965 and ended with the final on May 29, 1966 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid . The defending champion of the cup competition was Atlético Madrid . Real Zaragoza won the title by beating Atlético Bilbao 2-0 in the final . Zaragoza thus qualified for the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1966/67 .
