The Copa del Generalísimo 1943 was the 39th edition of the Spanish soccer cup competition , which takes place today under the name Copa del Rey .
The competition started on April 25th and ended with the final on June 20, 1943 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid . The defending champion of the cup competition was CF Barcelona . Atlético Bilbao won the title by beating Real Madrid 1-0 after extra time in the final .
