The Copa del Presidente de la República 1933 (also: Copa de España de Fútbol 1933 ) was the 31st edition of the Spanish soccer cup competition , which takes place today under the name Copa del Rey . The competition started on April 9th ​​and ended with the final on June 25th, 1933 at the Estadi Montjuïc in Barcelona . The defending champion of the cup competition was Athletic Bilbao . Athletic Bilbao won the title for the fourth time in a row by beating Madrid FC 2-1 in the final .

After the proclamation of the Second Spanish Republic and the abdication of King Alfonso XIII. in 1931 the cup competition was renamed in 1933 Copa del Presidente de la República (Cup of the President of the Republic).
