history

In 1715 the first synod of the Church of the Desert took place in Montèzes near Monoblet under the leadership of the Reformed pastor Antoine Court . The armed resistance of the Camisards against the royal troops was finally destroyed in 1710. The Huguenots decided to only restore the Reformed Church without violence and to invest in the training of young pastors.
