Lédignan ( Occitan : Ledinhan ) is a French commune with 1,462 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Le Vigan and the canton of Quissac (until 2015: canton of Lédignan ). The inhabitants are called Lédignanais .

Lédignan is located about 14 kilometers south-southeast of Alès and about 26 kilometers northwest of Nîmes . The neighboring municipalities of Lédignan are Cardet in the north and northwest, Cassagnoles in the northeast, Saint-Bénézet in the east, Aigremont in the south and Saint-Jean-de-Serres in the west.
