Bréau-Mars is a French commune with 616 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Le Vigan and the canton of the same name .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of Bréau-et-Salagosse and Mars , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Bréau-et-Salagosse.

The municipality is located around 50 kilometers northwest of Montpellier on the southern edge of the Cevennes National Park . The area is crossed by the river Souls .
