Gailhan ( Occitan : Galhan ) is a municipality with 246 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in southern France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Le Vigan and the canton of Quissac .

Gailhan is about 25 kilometers west of Nîmes . Gailhan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sardan in the north, Orthoux-Sérignac-Quilhan in the north and northeast, Lecques in the east, Salinelles in the southeast, Saint-Clément in the south and Carnas in the west and southwest.
