Salinelles is located about 23 kilometers west-southwest of Nîmes and about 26 kilometers north-northeast of Montpellier on the Vidourle . Salinelles is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Lecques in the north, Fontanès in the east and northeast, Villevieille in the southeast, Sommières in the south, Aspères in the west and Gailhan in the northwest.
