Mauressargues ( Occitan : Maureçargues ) is a French commune with 158 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Quissac (until 2015 Lédignan ). The inhabitants are called Mauressarguois .

geography

Mauressargues is located about 20 kilometers south-southeast of Alès and about 21 kilometers northwest of Nîmes . The neighboring municipalities of Mauressargues are Domessargues in the north, Saint-Geniès-de-Malgoirès in the east and south-east, Montagnac in the south and Aigremont in the west.
