Saint-Nazaire ( Occitan : Sent Nazari ) is a French commune with 1,229 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Pont-Saint-Esprit (until 2015: canton of Bagnols-sur-Cèze ).

Saint-Nazaire is located about 46 kilometers north-northeast of Nîmes and about 15 kilometers west-northwest of Orange . Saint-Nazaire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Alexandre in the north, Vénéjan in the east, Bagnols-sur-Cèze in the south and Saint-Gervais in the west.
