Montignargues ( Occitan : Montinhargues ) is a French commune with 597 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Calvisson (until 2015: canton of Saint-Chaptes ).

Montignargues is located about 17 kilometers northeast of the city center of Nîmes and about 20 kilometers south-southeast of Alès . The neighboring municipalities of Montignargues are Saint-Geniès-de-Malgoirès in the north, La Rouvière in the east and southeast, Saint-Bauzély in the south and Montagnac in the west.
