Saint-Geniès-de-Comolas is located between Avignon and Bagnols-sur-Cèze in the western Rhone Valley . Saint-Geniès-de-Comolas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montfaucon in the north and north-east, Roquemaure in the south and east, Saint-Laurent-des-Arbres in the west and Laudun-l'Ardoise in the north-west.

The route nationale 580 runs along the western edge of the municipality .
