Salazac ( Occitan : Salasac ) is a French commune with 184 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitania region ( Languedoc-Roussillon until 2015 ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Pont-Saint-Esprit .

Salazac is located about 49 kilometers northeast of Nîmes and about 27 kilometers northwest of Orange . Salazac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Aiguèze in the north, Saint-Julien-de-Peyrolas in the northeast, Saint-Paulet-de-Caisson in the east, Saint-Laurent-de-Carnols in the south and Saint-Christol-de-Rodières in the west.
