Connaux ( Occitan : Conauç ) is a French commune with 1,674 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Bagnols-sur-Cèze . The inhabitants are called Connaulais .
geography
Connaux is about 17 kilometers west-southwest of Orange . Connaux is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Tresques in the north, Laudun in the northeast, Saint-Paul-les-Fonts in the east, Pouzilhac in the south and Gaujac in the west.
