Le Pin ( Occitan : Lo Pin ) is a French commune with 426 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Bagnols-sur-Cèze . The inhabitants are called Pinois .

geography

Le Pin is located about 32 kilometers north-northeast of Nîmes and about 21 kilometers west-southwest of Orange . Le Pin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cavillargues in the north and north-west, Saint-Pons-la-Calm in the east and north-east, La Capelle-et-Masmolène in the south and Pougnadoresse in the west.

Wine is produced here for the Côtes du Rhône appellation .
