Ancient finds
Some Gallo-Roman dwellings and places of worship, including burial places, were uncovered in the vicinity of the place. Stone carvings, roof tiles ( tegulae ) and clay vessels ( doliae ) were found. The most beautiful piece is a limestone carved statue of the Gallic god Telesphorus , which was discovered in Moulézan in 1884. It is now in the Musée Archéologique de Nîmes .
