Vallérargues ( Occitan : Valerargues ) is a French commune with 140 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Alès-2 (until 2015: canton of Lussan ). The inhabitants are called Vallérargois .

Vallérargues is located about 33 kilometers north of Nîmes and about 21 kilometers east of Alès . The neighboring communities of Vallérargues are Lussan in the north, La Bruguière in the east and south-east, Belvézet in the south and Bouquet in the west and north-west.
