Cannes-et-Clairan ( Canas e Clairan in Occitan ) is a French commune with 540 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Calvisson (until 2015 Quissac ). The inhabitants are called Canranois .

Cannes-et-Clairan is about 20 kilometers south of Alès and about 19 kilometers northwest of Nîmes . The neighboring municipalities of Cannes-et-Clairan are Saint-Théodorit in the north, Moulézan in the northeast, Montmirat in the east, Crespian in the south and southeast, Vic-le-Fesq in the south, Orthoux-Sérignac-Quilhan in the southwest, Bragassargues in the west and Puechredon in the north-west.
