Domessargues ( Occitan Daumeçargues ) is a French commune with 753 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Quissac (until 2015 Lédignan ). The inhabitants are called Domessarguois .
geography
Domessargues is located about 19 kilometers south-southeast of Alès and about 22 kilometers northwest of Nîmes . The neighboring municipalities of Domessargues are Boucoiran-et-Nozières in the north and east, Sauzet in the east and south-east, Saint-Geniès-de-Malgoirès in the south-east, Mauressargues in the south, Aigremont in the west and Saint-Bénézet in the north-west.
