Sauve is a French commune with 1928 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Le Vigan and was the capital of the canton of Sauve until 2015 , but has since belonged to the canton of Quissac .

Sentier "Sculptures du Temps et des Hommes"
The 2.4 km long path (French: Sentier) Sculptures du Temps et des Hommes , which leads through abandoned gardens in the rock formation above the village and in three languages (French, German and English) the history of the agricultural use and its decline.
