Mostowskoi ( Russian Мостовско́й ) is an urban-type settlement in the southern Russian region of Krasnodar with 25,075 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The settlement is located on the northern edge of the Greater Caucasus about 150 kilometers southeast of the regional capital Krasnodar on the left bank of the Laba , a left tributary of the Kuban .
Mostowskoi is the administrative center of the Mostowskoi Rajons of the same name .
history
The place was created in 1894 in connection with the construction of a bridge (Russian most ) over the Laba as Mostowoje (later also Mostowskoje ). In 1961 the place received urban-type settlement status .

Economy and Infrastructure
Mostowskoi's economy is characterized by the processing of agricultural products.
The settlement is on the railway line from Kurganinsk via Labinsk to Schedok or Psebai (station name Mostovskaya ).
The regional road R256 Maikop - Karachayevsk runs through Mostowskoi . A road bridge connects the place with the Stanitsa Sassovskaya on the opposite bank of the Laba.
