The New Castle in Wehr

The New Castle Defense , also Schonau Castle MOORISH called one's castle at 336 m above sea level in local situation of the city defense in the district of Waldshut in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle is located in Wehr at Hauptstrasse 16. The castle, built in 1748 by the barons of Schönau , builders of the old Wehr castle, was extended in 1825 and has been the town hall for 100 years . The interior of the palace has ceilings with charming rococo stucco work by Ludwig Bossi .
