Neufchatel-Hardelot ( Flemish : Nieuwkasteel-Hardelo ) is a French municipality with 3746 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Boulogne-sur-Mer and the canton of Outreau .

Neufchâtel-Hardelot consists of the localities Neufchâtel and Hardelot-Plage . Hardelot-Plage is located on the Atlantic coast , which is called the Opal Coast here . The municipality is part of the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park .
Neufchâtel-Hardelot is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Condette in the north and northeast, Nesles in the east, Halinghen and Widehem in the southeast, Dannes in the south and southwest and Saint-Étienne-au-Mont in the northwest.
The A16 autoroute runs through the municipality .
