Carly is a French municipality with 551 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Boulogne-sur-Mer and the canton Desvres (until 2015: canton Samer ).

Carly is close to the Atlantic coast (about nine kilometers), which is called the Opal Coast here . The river Liane crosses the municipality. The municipality is part of the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park .

Carly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hesdin-l'Abbé in the north and north-west, Baincthun in the north and north-east, Questrecques in the east and north-east, Samer in the south and south-east, Verlincthun in the south and south-west and Hesdigneul-lès-Boulogne in the west.

The former route nationale 1 (today's D901) runs through the municipality .
