Hesdin-l'Abbé is a French commune with 1,863 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Boulogne-sur-Mer and the canton of Outreau (until 2015: canton of Samer ). The inhabitants are called Hesdinois .

Hesdin-l'Abbé is located near the Atlantic coast (about eight kilometers), which is called the Opal Coast here . The river Liane crosses the municipality. The municipality is part of the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park .

Hesdin-l'Abbé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Isques in the north and north-west, Baincthun in the east and north-east, Carly in the east and south-east, Hesdigneul-lès-Boulogne in the south and south-west and Condette in the west and south-west.

The former route nationale 1 (today's D901) runs through the municipality .
